Information and Referral Services

Information and Referral services are provided for anyone requesting information on topics of concern or interest to persons with disabilities.  

RIL provides the community with information on a wide variety of resources :

  •    Housing
  •    Transportation
  •    Employment Opportunities
  •    Roster of persons available to serve as personal care attendants
  •    Interpreters for the hearing impaired
  •    Readers for the visually impaired
  •    Will also help the consumer access resources and opportunities

    .Enrollment process:

    1. The Information & Referral Coordinator completes an intake form using Intake Database in Access.  An intake form is completed when a consumer calls requesting services related to disability issues.
    2. Information & Referral Coordinator determines appropriate services or referrals.
    3. The Intake Coordinator will forward a letter to the consumer informing them of RIL’s services and procedures for their requested service.
    4. Place consumer on mailing list to keep them informed of all current events.
